Pedestrian Assaulted, Robbed Sunday in Lorton: Police

Fairfax County Police report there was an assault and robbery in the overnight hours Sunday in Lorton.

The robbery took place Sunday around 2:17 a.m. in the 7500 block of Woodside Lane in Lorton, according to police.

The victim was walking in a parking lot and was approached by a man, according to police. The suspect assaulted the victim, took property and fled, police said. The victim incurred non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The suspect was described as black, in his 20s, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall, approximately 170 pounds, wearing a black T-shirt, police said.
