Hidden camera case moves to grand jury, prosecutors say they anticipate more charges (wset.com) — A high-profile hidden camera case in Lynchburg is moving to a grand jury after the defendant waived a preliminary hearing, and prosecutors say they expect to seek more charges. Investigators allege he secretly filmed people, including minors, at several Lynchburg businesses, and thousands have already filled out a victim identification form.
3. Trump's Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy Delivers Nearly $615 Million to Improve Airports Across 42 States and Two Territories (faa.gov) — Lynchburg Regional Airport is slated to receive $8 million in federal funding to build a new terminal, part of a larger $615 million package for airports nationwide. The project aims to modernize facilities and improve safety and efficiency for local travelers as air traffic continues to grow.
4. John 'Jack' Mosby Pearman (pcpatriot.com) — Family and friends are remembering John "Jack" Mosby Pearman, who was born in Lynchburg in 1935 and later made his home in Pulaski, where he died at age 90. A retired government data processor, he is survived by his wife and son, and he requested that no services be held.
