• Lynchburg detective recognized for role in national swatting investigation (wsls.com) — A Lynchburg police detective is being honored for helping unravel more than 1,500 dangerous swatting incidents nationwide, including one tied to the Lynchburg area. Working with local, state, and federal partners, he coordinated interviews and suspect identification before the case moved to the FBI and U.S. Attorney's Office for potential conspiracy and terrorism charges.
