Sharing their shared experience: Northern Virginia businessmen espouse the impact of being a kidney donor (insidenova.com) — A Manassas native and current resident shares how a life-saving kidney transplant pulled him off years of dialysis, thanks partly to another Manassas native who donated a kidney into the national system. Their story highlights how local donors can change lives, the recovery process, and where Prince William residents can learn more about becoming living kidney donors.

3. Judge Denies Hemp Business' Request To Temporarily Block New Cannabis Laws: Report (patch.com) — A Manassas-based hemp shop is at the center of a failed federal court bid to pause Virginia's new hemp restrictions, which took effect August 15. 4. AFSP National Capital Area Creates Connection and Hope (princewilliamliving.com) — Manassas residents are invited to nominate local nonprofits for Prince William Living's Giving Back Award, which highlights organizations serving Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's National Capital Area Chapter is a current nominee, recognized for its volunteer-driven suicide prevention education, support programs, and Out of the Darkness Walks that bring resources and hope to Northern Virginia communities.
