Why are you running for this office?

I am passionate about representing our diverse community. As an immigrant, we have unique challenges, especially today. I am running to bring the needs of the community front and center. For over two decades, I have fought for working families. I have stood up for unfair treatment, safe job and better wages. I am passionate about fighting for the rights of workers, women, immigrants, students, kids and many other groups. I believe that we all deserved to be treated with dignity and respect. Immigrants work hard, and we deserve a seat at the table. We need legislation that supports our district and help us improve our way of life.

What do constituents tell you is most important to them for the coming term?

Affordability, housing and schools.

What are your day-one priorities, if elected?

Legislation that helps reduce the cost of living, improve our quality of life, job creation and schools funding.

What are your longer-term goals, if elected?

Reduce the unfunded liabilities, create higher paying jobs and improve transportation.

What about your professional or other background has prepared you for this office?

Four years as Manassas City Council Member, 22 years leading a LIUNA Local representing over 4,000 workers, mother of two students, former Active-duty Military spouse and my community work have given me the experiences to be able to effectively represent the most diverse district in the commonwealth.

Aside from winning the election, what has been your most important campaign goal?

Listening to the needs and priorities of the residents in Manassas, Manassas Park and Parts of Prince William County.
