Man Assaults Prison Guard in Manassas: Police
The inmate was having his cell searched, according to Prince William County Police, and then became agitated before making a punch.
MANASSAS, VA — A prisoner punched a guard in the face during a cell search Wednesday night at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center, 9320 Lee Avenue, according to Prince William County Police.
Jose Bernabe Rodriguez-Ayala, 19, of no fixed address (actually, the aforementioned address), was charged with assault and battery on a corrections officer and is being held, ahem, without bond.
Police responded to the scene shortly before 8 p.m. The guard suffered minor injuries.
