TYSONS, VA — Joon, a Persian restaurant in Tysons, will host a "Solidarity Supper" on Monday, April 27, to raise funds for humanitarian relief in Iran. The event, held in partnership with media company Roads & Kingdoms, aims to support families and children affected by food insecurity and displacement.

The dinner will feature a family-style meal and a discussion centered on life in Iran. Net proceeds from the $150 tickets will benefit Children of Persia. According to the organization, it is a nonprofit that provides food, medicine, and educational support to underprivileged children in Iran. The group operates under specific licenses from the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, which allow for the funding of humanitarian projects and disaster relief within the country.

Roads & Kingdoms, a publication that has received a James Beard Publication of the Year award and a National Magazine Award, focuses on storytelling through the lens of food and culture. Joon, located at 8045 Leesburg Pike, Suite 120, in Tysons, was founded by Reza Farahani and is co-owned by Batmanglij and Chris Morgan.

The event is scheduled from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. While dinner is included in the ticket price, beverages are sold separately. Tickets can be purchased online.
