MCLEAN, VA — Fairfax County fire and rescue personnel rescued a dog and an occupant from a two-alarm house fire in McLean on Thursday night, according to authorities.
Fire and rescue units were dispatched around 12:45 a.m. in response to the report of a house fire in the 900 block of Turkey Run, according to a post on the department's X account.
"Crews rescued one occupant and a dog from the home after fire extended from the garage," according to the post. "One patient was transported with non-life-threatening injuries."
The fire was reported extinguished shortly before 2 a.m., according to authorities. No firefighters were injured.

Fire and rescue units remained on the scene until just after 5 a.m., according to PulsePoint.
