TYSONS, VA — Capital One Center will bring back its Culinary Week later this month, with five days of chef-led classes, competitions and dining events that will raise money for World Central Kitchen.
The second annual event is scheduled for July 27-31 at Capital One Center in Tysons. Organizers say the week will feature seven ticketed events hosted by restaurants across the mixed-use development, with all proceeds supporting World Central Kitchen, the nonprofit founded by Chef José Andrés that provides meals in disaster and humanitarian crisis zones. Last year's event raised more than $10,000 for the organization.
Tickets range from $70 to $95, with discounted early-bird pricing available through July 17.
The week begins Monday, July 27, with a sushi-making class at Wren led by Executive Sous Chef Scott Han.
On Tuesday, July 28, guests can choose between a pizza-making class with Chef Matteo Venini at Stellina Pizzeria or a cocktail-making class at the Naisho Room.
Wednesday's featured event is the "Battle of the Chefs" on The Perch Great Lawn, where executive chefs representing Capital One Center restaurants will compete with signature dishes while attendees vote for their favorite.

Thursday's lineup includes a four-course dinner and live cooking demonstration at Sisters Tysons, followed by the Culinary Week Cocktail Contest at Ometeo, where mixologists from Capital One Center restaurants will compete in front of guests.
The week concludes Friday, July 31, with another pizza-making class at Stellina Pizzeria.
Organizers also say attendees will get a preview of the culinary team behind La Omri, a Mediterranean restaurant expected to open at Capital One Center later this year.
World Central Kitchen was founded by Andrés in 2010 and provides fresh meals to communities affected by natural disasters, humanitarian emergencies and other crises around the world. Capital One Center said all proceeds from Culinary Week ticket sales will benefit the nonprofit.
The events will take place at various venues throughout Capital One Center, located at 1803 Capital One Drive in Tysons. Additional information and tickets are available through the Capital One Center website.
