MCLEAN, VA — An adult man remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after an apparent assault in the Idylwood area earlier this month, and Fairfax County police are asking the public for help identifying those responsible.
According to Fairfax County police, officers responded around 11:30 a.m. on July 5 to the 3000 block of Graham Road for a report of a suspicious event. When officers arrived, they found an adult man suffering from multiple injuries across his body.
The victim was taken to a local hospital in life-threatening condition, where he remains hospitalized, police said.
Detectives with the McLean District Criminal Investigations Division believe the victim's injuries were sustained during an assault near the intersection of Lee Highway (Route 29) and Graham Road.
Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident or who has information about the assault to contact the McLean Police Station at 703-556-7750 and ask to speak with a detective.

Anonymous tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward. Police encourage anyone who wants an investigator to follow up to include contact information.
Victim specialists with the Fairfax County Police Department's Major Crimes Bureau have been assigned to assist the victim and connect him with available resources.
Police also reminded residents they can register security cameras through the Connect Fairfax County program to help investigators solve crimes, locate missing people and support future investigations.
