Your Tysons Shopping Trips Could Help Local Schools Earn Up To $4,000

TYSONS, VA — Purchases at Tysons Corner Center could help local schools earn money for classroom technology, curriculum materials and other student resources during the 2026-27 school year.

The shopping center announced the launch of School Cents, a loyalty program scheduled to run from fall 2026 through spring 2027. Shoppers can earn points for a designated participating school when they make purchases at the mall.

Under the program, shoppers earn at least five points for their selected school for every dollar spent at Tysons Corner Center. Eligible purchases can include shopping, dining, salon services and entertainment experiences.

Participants must upload their receipts through the School Cents app. The shopping center said it will also offer opportunities to earn bonus points during the program year.

Up to 10 local schools will compete for a share of a prize pool totaling as much as $15,000. Individual awards will range from $500 to $4,000, based on the number of points each school accumulates.

Prize checks are expected to be presented in April 2027. Schools can use the money for classroom technology, curriculum supplies, student resources and other needs, according to the announcement.

Several schools have already been selected, but Tysons Corner Center is accepting applications from additional eligible schools for the remaining openings. The release did not specify an application deadline.

Schools interested in joining the program may complete the online application.
