MCLEAN, VA — Fairfax County firefighters rescued a worker stranded about 20 feet above the ground in a bucket truck Thursday morning in McLean, according to the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department.
Crews responded shortly before 11:30 a.m. to the westbound Route 267 ramp at Dolley Madison Boulevard after the bucket truck lost power, leaving the worker trapped in the elevated bucket.
Members of Tower 401 safely lowered the worker to the ground. No injuries were reported.
The ramp, which was temporarily affected by the rescue operation, has reopened, fire officials said.
