MCLEAN, VA — Northern Virginia residents concerned about their electric bills will have an opportunity to learn more about energy costs and the state policies that affect them during an upcoming town hall in McLean.
Virginia Sen. Jennifer Boysko and Del. Rip Sullivan will host the Energy Town Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 6:30 p.m. at the McLean Community Center, located at 1234 Ingleside Ave. The McLean Citizens Association is co-hosting the event.
According to the association, the discussion will focus on helping residents understand their electric bills and how energy policies influence what customers pay.
The event comes as electricity costs remain a concern for Virginia households, with utility rates, energy infrastructure investments and growing electricity demand contributing to broader discussions about affordability.
Boysko, a Democrat, represents Virginia's 38th Senate District, while Sullivan, also a Democrat, represents the 6th House District.
Sullivan's office has asked attendees to register in advance.
For those who can't attend, the forum will be available on Fairfax Public Access, Channel 10 TV Cox, Verizon Fios and livestream.
