TYSONS, VA — A new fitness studio specializing in low-impact exercise, strength training and functional movement will open in Tysons on Nov. 2, bringing another workout option to residents of McLean, Vienna, Great Falls and surrounding communities.

PVOLVE Tysons, located at 2070 Chain Bridge Road, Suite 185, will be operated by Dr. Mona Keshtkaran, a clinical nutrition and body composition specialist with more than a decade of experience in nutrition, metabolism and weight management.

The studio will offer classes that combine functional movement with specialized resistance equipment designed to help participants build strength and improve mobility, stability, and balance. The workouts emphasize low-impact exercises for people of all fitness levels.

Nutrition Specialist Brings Focus On Strength And Metabolic Health

Keshtkaran, who holds a doctorate from the University of Southampton in England, founded Dr. K Nutrition, a private medical nutrition practice focused on metabolic health, weight management, and body composition.

Her work emphasizes preserving and building lean muscle mass while combining personalized nutrition with sustainable lifestyle changes. She said opening the fitness studio extends her clinical approach to health and wellness.

"Throughout my career, I've seen how important body composition is to our overall health, and that achieving lasting results takes more than just focusing on weight," Keshtkaran said in a statement. "Nutrition and movement really go hand in hand."

Keshtkaran said she was attracted to PVOLVE's emphasis on functional movement and strength-building exercises that do not require high-impact workouts.

"Opening PVOLVE Tysons is an opportunity to bring that philosophy to our community and create a welcoming space where people feel stronger, move better, and make fitness a sustainable part of their lives," she said.

Keshtkaran's doctoral research examined growth, nutritional status and body composition among patients with inflammatory bowel disease. Her work explored how chronic disease affects nutritional needs and physical development, and how nutritional interventions can improve health outcomes.

Free Introductory Classes Planned Before Opening

The Tysons studio began welcoming founding members for exclusive classes on Wednesday.

Complimentary introductory classes for prospective members are scheduled from Thursday, Oct. 29, through Sunday, Nov. 1, giving residents an opportunity to try the workouts before the studio officially opens.

PVOLVE Tysons will launch its full class schedule on Monday, Nov. 2.

PVOLVE is a fitness franchise that uses a functional movement method combining low-impact exercises with specialized resistance equipment. The company markets its workouts as a way to develop strength, mobility and balance through movements intended to support everyday activities.
