McLEAN, VA — A 72-year-old McLean man died Thursday morning after his bicycle was involved in a crash with a pickup truck near Middleburg, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Karl David Salnoske, 72, of McLean, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred at the intersection of Welbourne Road and St. Louis Road in Loudoun County, authorities said.
Deputies responded to the intersection around 10:41 a.m. Thursday, following a report of a collision involving a bicyclist and a pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured and remained at the scene, according to the sheriff's office.
Authorities did not release details about what led to the collision or whether they were considering any charges.
The crash remains under investigation.
