• Windscreen designs for Route 1 bus rapid transit stations approved (ffxnow.com) — New windscreens and artwork have been approved for the nine stations along "The One," the future bus rapid transit line running on Richmond Highway through the Mount Vernon District toward Fort Belvoir. Fairfax County supervisors also advanced key agreements and easement steps, keeping the nearly $1 billion project on track to bring faster transit, new bike and pedestrian facilities, and safety upgrades for local commuters.
