Operated by East Coast Repair & Fabrication, the Bardex-designed lift will expand local maintenance capacity and support long-term shipbuilding and repair work in Newport News when it comes online around 2028.
4. Newport News audit team identifies improper contractor charges in government cost review (tradersunion.com) — A Newport News-based federal audit team recently reviewed $21.3 million in contractor charges and flagged $288,000 as improper, helping protect taxpayer money.
