• DEVELOPING: Teen hit in crash at South Lakes HS, as criticism of crossing guard changes mounts (ffxnow.com) — Fairfax County's decision to cut funding for high school crossing guards is now under sharper scrutiny after a student was hit by a car outside South Lakes High, with Oakton High named among 11 affected schools. Local and state officials are pressing the Board of Supervisors to restore some funding using carryover money before another serious incident occurs.
