• Renovations begin this fall at seven Fairfax County playgrounds (ffxnow.com) — Playground equipment at Borge Street Neighborhood Park in Oakton will be closed this fall as Fairfax County renovates seven playgrounds to improve accessibility and add new amenities. Most work should wrap up by December, funded largely through park bond referendums, while voters will also weigh in on a new $180 million park bond this fall.
