ALEXANDRIA, VA — A growing brand that lets veterinarians own and operate their own practices has entered the DC market with a new location coming to Alexandria.
CityVet, which has built 59 veterinarian-owned practices over a quarter decade, will open at the Bradlee Shopping Center (3660 King St., Suite #20, Alexandria, VA). This will be the first DC area location, joining others in major metro areas like Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, Orlando and more. The Alexandria location will be owned and led by veterinarian Dr. Bora Choi.
"As we grow, we look for communities where our veterinarian-led care can thrive," said David Boguslawski, CEO of CityVet. "The Alexandria and greater DC area has a strong sense of community and a deep love for pets; values that align perfectly with our mission at CityVet. We’re proud to bring our model of doctor ownership and exceptional care to the nation’s capital with our first DC metro location."
The CityVet clinic will offer veterinary care for pets as well as other services like grooming, dental care, boarding and specialty therapies. The clinic can handle most medical and surgical cases, including hospitalization when needed.
An opening date for CityVet in Alexandria was not immediately available. CityVet plans to open additional locations as part of a regional expansion.
