Fire Breaks Out At Lincolnia Elementary School

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Fairfax County Fire and Rescue put out a fire that broke out at Bryn Mar Park Elementary School in Lincolnia on Sunday.

According to the county fire department, crews arrived shortly before 3 p.m. at the 6300 block of Beryl Road to find heavy smoke at the school. They declared it a two-alarm fire.

The fire was put out and no injuries were reported.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue respond to a blaze at an elementary school on Beryl Road.

According to Fox 5 DC, officials said the fire seemed to be concentrated in an area near the rear of the school that is under construction, and that no one was inside the school building at the time.

Fairfax Fire and Rescue were assisted by crews from Alexandria and Arlington, they said.

This was the second elementary school fire in the Washington, DC, metro area this weekend, WTOP reports.
