ALEXANDRIA, VA – Young Arturo is a just-right sized dog looking for a family that's ready to play.
According to the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, "Arturo is an active guy who will make a great running or hiking buddy." This 39-pound, 2-year-old dog also loves to chase balls, play with toys, gnaw on treats and explore any new places.
This charming boy is also learning house manners and can sit on cue. His love of treats means training shouldn't be a challenge, and the AWLA hopes his new forever family will continue his development.
"Arturo would do well in a variety of homes," the AWLA says. "If you have an active lifestyle and are looking for a buddy to go on life's many adventures with, Arturo could be your guy!"
If you’re looking for a furry companion, visit Arturo down at the AWLA Animal Shelter. He’s one of 24 dogs currently listed as available for adoption.
To see him or any of the other dogs and cats waiting for their homes, contact the AWLA shelter or visit them at 4101 Eisenhower Avenue during adoption hours, from noon to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday or noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
