Fairfax Firefighters Respond To Groveton House Fire Visible From DC

No injuries were reported from the house fire in Groveton.

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Fairfax County Fire Department fought a major fire at a single-family home in the Groveton area on May 4.

Arriving at the 6500 block of Enfield Drive just after 11 a.m. after multiple calls, they found heavy fire in the home. Firefighters say all occupants from the home were accounted for and were outside the house when they arrived. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.

The fire was so big it could be seen from neighboring Washington, DC. An X user caught the smoke as he crossed the bridge.

By shortly after 2 p.m., Fairfax firefighters said the fire was under control. The cause has not yet been determined.
