ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Magnificent Bugsy the guinea pig is the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria's adoptable pet of the week.
Why "magnificent," you ask? Because "she is currently perfecting the art of the disappearing romaine," the AWLA shelter says. But she's not only interested in leafy greens: a toilet paper roll is also a source of endless fascination for this girl.
If you're looking for someone to rekindle your belief in magic, look no further than Bugsy ... and look for her at the AWLA's shelter on Eisenhower Avenue. Bugsy "is seeking a piggie-loving human to assist with her daily performances and provide a steady supply of cucumbers and other delicious goodies!"
Bugsy is awaiting her new home at the AWLA Animal Shelter, along with several other guinea pigs, a handful of ferrets and a rabbit. To visit them, contact the AWLA shelter or visit 4101 Eisenhower Avenue during adoption hours, from noon to 7 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, or from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
