ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Founding Farmers restaurant group is launching Founding Farmers BBQ at its Alexandria and Chinatown locations at the end of May.
The new barbecue dinner service will launch May 26, the restaurant says, with smoked meat representations from Texas, North Carolina and St. Louis, Missouri, made from scratch at their smoke shack in Maryland. The menu offers sandwiches and even tacos, along with barbecue trays and sausages, all accompanied by coleslaw and a variety of pickles. (See the full menu here.)
Dine-in hours are from 4 p.m. until supplies run out, but there are also two sizes of family meal packs available to take away.
Alexandria's restaurant is located at 461 Swann Avenue. Chinatown's is at 600 Massachusetts Avenue. NW.
Founding Farmers is a restaurant group owned by the North Dakota Farmers Union and supplied by American family farms. They opened their first restaurant in Washington, DC, in 2008 and now have locations in Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania, as well as a distillery.
