ALEXANDRIA, VA – This social sweetheart is looking for a home!
"Super sweet Amma is a young dog who is looking for a home where she can love and be loved," the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria tells Patch.
Two-year-old Amma came to the shelter as a local stray and is now ready to find a home that she can call her own. The AWLA says this 52-pound girl's tail is perpetually wagging, and she loves everyone she meets – every human, that is. Amma would prefer to be your one and only.
"Amma does a nice sit for her treats and, because she is so treat-motivated, any training you may want to do should go smoothly. She is a fairly chill dog who would like nothing better than to snuggle with her new best friend at the end of a long day."
Don't worry, Amma still likes her squeaky toys and balls. "Amma is at a really nice age, just past the puppy stage but still young enough to enjoy an active lifestyle with her new best friend," the AWLA says.
As a bonus, Amma's adoption fees have been paid by a donor.
If you think that Amma could be the one for you, contact the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria today.
To see her or any of the other dogs, cats and other furry friends waiting for their homes, contact the AWLA shelter or visit them at 4101 Eisenhower Avenue during adoption hours, from noon to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, or noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
