ALEXANDRIA, VA – Sweet Suzie is the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria's adoptable pet of the week.
The AWLA says Suzie is about 7 years old and weighs 85 pounds. She's a grown lady with good manners and a repertoire of tricks, as well as a sweetheart, "with a gentle personality and a heart as big as can be."
Suzie has a calm, affectionate nature and adores people, the AWLA says. She'll be happiest "soaking up attention, belly rubs, and cuddles."
To see Suzie or any of the other dogs, cats and other furry friends waiting for their homes, contact the AWLA shelter or visit them at 4101 Eisenhower Avenue during adoption hours, from noon to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, or noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
