ALEXANDRIA, VA – An Arlington man will face charges in connection with a King Street car crash that left a 78-year-old man dead.
Mohammad Mohammadi, 23, of Arlington, was indicted by an Alexandria grand jury for involuntary manslaughter and reckless driving in connection with the crash on December 13, 2025, the Alexandria Police Department said in a release. The involuntary manslaughter charge is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
The 2-car accident occurred before 8 a.m. on December 13 at King Street and South Taylor Street. Both Mohammadi and the other driver, 78-year-old Craig Taylor of Alexandria, sustained serious injuries and were taken to a local hospital. Taylor died at the hospital.
Mohammadi was indicted on May 18 and arrested the next day, according to Alexandria police. He has been released on bond, and his next court appearance is scheduled for June 18.
