ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Alexandria Office of Housing is holding a clinic on August 31 with access to free legal consultations and connections to city housing rights resources.
The Office of Housing is hosting the Housing Conditions Clinic on Monday, August 31 from 6-8 p.m. The city says the clinic will offer free legal consultations and opportunities to connect to city resources related to tenant housing conditions. The Legal Aid Justice Center, Department of Code Administration, the Health Department and Alex311, the city's customer service platform, will be present at the clinic.
The city asks attendees to bring their leases and any relevant documentation of housing condition problems they want to discuss at the clinic.
Alexandria's seniors have raised issues about the quality of their housing in the past year. The city's interim public housing CEO resigned in June.
The event will be held at the William Ramsay Recreation Center, 5650 Sanger Avenue.
