Handsome Whiskey Is Alexandria's Adoptable Pet Of The Week

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Handsome Whiskey is the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria's adoptable pet of the week!

The AWLA says, "Whiskey is an active dog who has a zest for life and a love of people." The spiffy guy is also a friendly people-lover who's good with other dogs, too.

The AWLA says Whiskey is reported to be crate-trained and to walk nicely on a leash.

"He is a playful pup who loves toys, especially the squeaky kind! His favorite game is tug, but he really needs a buddy to play that game. Maybe it could be you?"

The three-year-old dog is past puppyhood, but still active and would love some outdoor adventures. "He is also a very affectionate guy, so don't be surprised if he puts his paws on your lap and smothers you in sweet little doggie kisses when you meet."

To stop by, contact the AWLA shelter or visit them at 4101 Eisenhower Avenue during adoption hours, from noon to 7 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, or from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
