ALEXANDRIA, VA – A friendly, grown-up gal is the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria's adoptable pet of the week.
The AWLA writes, "Stallings is a sweet, distinguished older lady in search of a calm home where she can relax with her new best friend. She is a friendly eight-year-old girl who adores people and treats – in that order!"
The AWLA says the 48-pound Stallings is a gentle girl who likes leisurely walks and long naps – just between us, she's a bit of a couch potato. She does a nice sit when asked and always appreciates a prompt reward, the shelter reports.
Stallings is more interested in cuddling than in toys. In fact, her world would be complete with a comfy bed, some good food and a human to love. If you're looking for a sweet older lady to join you for some couch time, come meet Lady Stallings. Thanks to a donor, her adoption fees have already been paid.
To say hello to Stallings and the other adoptable animals waiting for their homes, contact the AWLA shelter or visit them at 4101 Eisenhower Avenue during adoption hours, from noon to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, or noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
