ALEXANDRIA, VA – Kiwi Kuisine, Alexandria's 20-year-old New Zealand-style pie shop, will celebrate two decades in the city with a grand reopening ceremony at its Eisenhower Avenue storefront on Oct. 10.
According to the store, the event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony and remarks by the Alexandria City Council, plus a pie-eating contest pitting kids against adults, pie tasting, face-painting, a sheep scavenger hunt and more.
Kiwi Kuisine sells sweet and savory pies in family and hand-held sizes. Their shop is located at 4550 Eisenhower Ave., but their pies can also be found at farmers' markets, coffee shops and other stores around the region.
