ALEXANDRIA, VA – South Korean cafe brand Twosome Place will make its American debut with a shop in Alexandria, the company announced on Thursday.
In a press release, CEO of Twosome Place Korea Jay Moon said, "Our debut in the Washington region is an important milestone for Twosome Place as we look ahead to future growth in the U.S. We're excited to introduce American consumers to the café culture we've built over the past two decades, one centered on quality, hospitality, and creating a place where guests can gather over exceptional coffee and cake."
Since first opening its doors 25 years ago in Seoul, Twosome Place has grown to more than 1,750 locations, the company says. The cafe chain specializes in coffee and cake pairings.
The new cafe in Old Town will offer signature cakes whole and by the slice, including the company's trademarked Strawberry Chocolate Cream Cake. The menu will also feature Korean-inspired beverages, breakfasts and lunches.
The café is expected to open in mid-October at 404 King Street.
