ALEXANDRIA, VA — Pre-leasing has begun at Margot, a new 237-unit apartment community at 425 Montgomery St. in Old Town Alexandria, with the first residents expected to move in by mid-December.
Carr Properties developed the project in partnership with Barings, and Bozzuto will manage the property, Carr said in a recent release. Apartments range from studios to three-bedroom and penthouse units.
Margot will include about 18,600 square feet of outdoor space, including a courtyard, rooftop pool and terrace. Indoor amenities include about 7,000 square feet of co-working space, a fitness center, pet spa and penthouse lounge.
According to the developer, ground-floor tenants will include For Five Cafe and Grazie Nonna, along with a 6,445-square-foot performing arts venue.
The property is next to Montgomery Park and about a mile from the Braddock Road Metro station.
Margot is part of Carr Properties' broader push into residential development in Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. The company is planning additional apartment projects in Clarendon, Ballston and at 300 Montgomery St. in Alexandria.
Pre-leasing began on Oct. 22. More information can be found here.
