• Virginia Lottery warns against scams involving lottery official impersonators (wavy.com) — State lottery officials, speaking from Portsmouth, are warning Virginians about scammers posing as Virginia Lottery representatives and offering money in exchange for personal information. Residents are urged never to share ID photos, banking details, or create lottery accounts at someone else's direction. Anyone targeted should contact local law enforcement and the Virginia Lottery at 804-692-7777.
