13 New Voting Locations Open Saturday For 2023 Democratic Primary

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — In-person voting early voting for the June 20 Democratic Party Primary in Fairfax County expands to 16 locations starting on Saturday.

Voters have a number of local and statewide races in which to cast a ballot. The primary will decide the Democratic candidates who will represent their party in the General Election on Nov. 7.

The November election will be the first one in which the redrawn districts in the Virginia General Assembly will be in effect and some voters will be casting ballots in different Virginia Senate and House of Delegates districts than they previously had. In early May, three locations opened for voters could to cast their primary ballots in-person:

On Saturday, 13 more locations will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., where voters can cast their ballots in the June 20 primary:

All 16 voting locations, with the exception of the polling place at the Fairfax County Government Center, will be open from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays. The Fairfax County Government Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Saturday, June 17 will be the final day voters in Fairfax County will be able to cast an early ballot in the June 20 primary. All polling places will be open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., on Saturday, June 17.

Voting Requirements And Registration

Voters can check their registration status, find their polling place or apply to vote absentee by mail via the Fairfax County Board of Elections' Citizen Portal. Absentee ballots can also be dropped off at the permanent Ballot Drop Box outside the Fairfax County Government Center at 12000 Government Center Parkway.

Through-June 17, voters may register and cast a provisional ballot in-person weekdays, from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and Saturdays, June 10 and June 17, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., at the Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Conference Rooms 2/3, Fairfax, VA 22035
