Police say a man tried to wander off with a bike before being confronted by the owner.

RESTON, VA — Two men got into a fight in Reston over the weekend after one of them caught the other trying to wander off with his bicycle, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

Police were called to the intersection of Ascot Way and Chesterfield Court at around 3:49 p.m. on Oct. 29, and determined that a man had tried to steal a bicycle outside the home of a 59-year-old man, who came outside to confront him after watching him do it, police say.

"The two began fighting then the suspect left without the bike as a passersby heard the commotion and approached," the report states.
