2 Shooting Incidents Investigated In Reston-Herndon Area

Fairfax County Police are investigating two incidents in which an individual recklessly discharged a firearm.

RESTON, VA — Officers from the Reston District Station of the Fairfax County Police Department are investigating two shooting incidents that occurred recently in the Reston and Herndon areas of the county, according to the weekly crime report.

In the first incident, police responded around 12:22 a.m., on Nov. 14, for the reports of a shooting in the parking lot of Village Center at Dulles (2400 block of Centreville Road). A man had fired a gun and left the scene before police arrived, according to the report. The officers recovered shell casings at the scene. No injuries or property damage were report.

The second shooting incident occurred the same day around 10:17 p.m. Police say that a person driving a car in the 2000 block of Soapstone Drive fired a gun several times before leaving the area. Like the earlier incident, shell casings were recovered and no injuries or property damage were reported.
