20 Break-Ins Reported In Reston, Herndon: Police
Police are warning the public about more than 20 break-ins reported in the area since September.

RESTON/HERNDON, VA -- Police are warning residents in the Reston and Herndon area that there have been break-ins at 20 homes in the area from September through January, and they have happened under similar circumstances.
The latest happened in the 4700 block of Rippling Pond Drive just south of Reston on Jan. 31, when a resident reported that the home had been broken into and items were missing, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.
"All the break-ins appear to be similar in nature and have happened at homes, townhomes, and apartments near a walking path or woods," the report states. "Personal items from the homes have been taken. There is an active investigation ongoing."
