2017 Election Results for Reston Association Board of Directors

Four new members have been appointed to the Board of Directors after a voting period that wrapped up earlier this month.

RESTON, VA — The new members of the Reston Association Board of Directors have been selected after the voting period wrapped up April 3.

Eric Carr defeated five other candidates to win a three-year term as at-large director. Victoria White defeated Syazana Durrani for a three-year term as the Hunter Woods/Dogwood District director. John Mooney won a two-year term over Arlene Krieger as the North Point District director. And David Bobzein, who ran unopposed, will serve a three-year term as the apartment owners' representative.

The Reston Association elects three new individuals to the Board of Directors each spring. The results will be announced at the next Annual Members' Meeting, which will be held Tuesday night. The voting period lasted from March 6 to April 3.

The new board members will be responsible for:

  • Determining the long-range mission and goals of the association
  • Establishing RA policies and procedures
  • Monitoring finances, approving budgets, and setting the annual assessment rate
