3 Authors With Links To South Lakes High School Gather For Book Event

A former South Lakes High School teacher and two of his students will be signing books and chatting Thursday at Red's Table in Reston

RESTON, VA — Three local authors with links to South Lakes High School will be at Red's Table Restaurant in South Lakes Village Center talking about their work and signing copies of their books on Thursday.

Chuck Cascio, author of seven books who had taught at South Lakes for 18 years, will be joined by his former students Sean Murphy and Danny Olmes. Cascio helps write and edit Olmes recently published memoir.

In addition to being an author, Murphy is the founder of 1455 Literary, which is dedicated to showcasing the written word and other forms of creative expression.

Ryan Tracy, the owner of Red's and is also a former SLHS student. He is hosting the event on Thursday, at 5:30 p.m., where visitors can chat with the authors, enjoy some food, and get a book signed. The restaurant is located at 11150 South Lakes Drive in Reston.
