3 Reasons Homes Don't Sell



We have a fantastic market right now. With low interest rates and a strong demand, both buyers and sellers should be happy. Some sellers, though, may be frustrated because their home isn't selling. Why won’t it sell? I have three reasons that can ultimately make your home sit on the market.

Price vs. Condition & Location-The first is price versus condition and location. Buyers in today’s market are smart. They want a home that is in good condition with a reasonable and fair price tag. Many times both sellers and agents overprice the property, setting it up for failure from the beginning. There are two parts to selling. The seller must digest and follow through with the suggestions made by the Realtor and then the Realtor must choose an appropriate price. Poor Communication-The second reason your home might not be selling is poor communication. The market tells you where your home should be priced. If your home is on the market for two weeks but you don’t receive an offer, you need to lower the price. Listen to the current market conditions and go from there.

Poor Marketing-The third reason is poor marketing. You need an agent who does more than just list your home on the MLS. There are tons of different sites to get exposure on. Your agent also needs to have a database of potential buyers. My team goes above and beyond to get your home in front of qualified potential buyers.
