4 Robbers Chase Woman in Reston, Then Attack Man and His Dog: Police

Police say one suspect pulled a knife and the group robbed the victim of his cell phone before fleeing.

RESTON, VA — Police are looking for four men who they say chased a woman in Reston and then attacked a man and his dog, robbing him of his cell phone before fleeing.

A 28-year-old man was walking with his dog in the the 11900 block of Winterthur Lane at around 10:50 p.m. on Feb. 9 when he "saw a woman running away from four men," according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

"As they ran past him, one of the suspects stopped and assaulted the man’s dog," the report states. "Then, all four suspects turned their attention to him; one displayed a knife while the others repeatedly assaulted both him and the dog."

The men took the victim's cell phone and then fled. The victim had minor injuries. The suspects were described only as Hispanic.
