50 People Already Camped Outside Reston Chick-Fil-A

The restaurant will have a grand opening Thursday, and dozens will be camping out Wednesday night.

RESTON, VA -- Around 50 people have already lined up as of Wednesday morning in the parking lot outside the newest Chick-fil-A to open at North Point Village Center on Thursday, according to a company spokesperson.

Chick-fil-A grand openings typically have a "First 100" party the night before where people camp out in a bid to be one of the first 100 in the door, which will earn them a year of free Chick-fil-A meals.

The restaurant officially opens at 1494 North Point Village Center at 6 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, and it will be the chicken chain's second Reston location.

"To celebrate, Operator Larry Everett is awarding a years supply of meals to the first 100 in line when he opens Thursday morning but campers were allowed to start lining up officially at the 24-hour mark," reads a statement. "They will be hunkering down for the next 24-hours passing the time while being hosted by Chick-fil-A. They will be fed breakfast, lunch and dinner with an evening snack. Games, entertainment, prizes and a block party with a lip sync battle in the evening that will also help pass the time."
