Not sure if you ever shop at the H Mart on Route 7 in Sterling, but they have an amazing tool for sale that I use nearly every time I am in my garden.
Called the Korean Hoe, and it is AWESOME!
The angle of this iron headed tool is perfect for digging into hard, clay soil. It is extremely sharp to cut into small roots. And, did I mention it is only $5.99?? If you look online for this tool, it will be anywhere from $12-20 each. You can also order one called the Cobra which has a smaller metal head andis about $40.
At H Mart, there is a section on the left hand side of the store with items for the kitchen (bowls, rice cookers, ...). This item is on the top shelf of that middle section all the way at the end, near the back of the store. You will also find a machete type of garden tool there ~ I have yet to find a need for that one in my collection!
I own about four of these, I have given them to my family members and gardeners at my Reston vegetable garden. If you want just ONE tool for your garden tool bag next year, GET THIS ONE!
