Accused Reston Killer Now In Jail: Police

The 17-year-old, who allegedly had Nazi views and killed his girlfriend's parents, had a detention hearing via teleconference recently.

RESTON, VA -- The Lorton teen accused of murdering his girlfriend's parents in Reston and then turning the gun on himself in a failed suicide attempt has been taken to the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center, police say.

The 17-year-old, who was not named by police due to his age but has been identified in reports as Nicholas Giampa, has been charged with murdering Scott Fricker and Buckley Kuhn-Fricker at their home on Dec. 22, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

The teen had his detention hearing via teleconference on Monday, and the judge ordered him to be held at the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center, where he was taken by the Fugitive Unit.

The teen spent weeks in the hospital in critical condition after the incident. Police say the victims caught him sneaking into his girlfriend's room in their house in the 2600 block of Black Fir Court early in the morning. After a confrontation, he pulled out a gun and shot them before turning the gun on himself.

Reports indicate that the teen had Nazi views that disturbed his girlfriend's parents, who banned him from seeing her. He allegedly mowed a 40-foot swastika into a community field in Lorton a few months before the killing.
