Aldrin Elementary Student Raises Money for Student Garden

Avery's classic lemonade stand helped generate $50 to support the garden, and helped promote the value of the garden to the community.

One student at Aldrin Elementary is rather passionate about the school’s student garden, so much so that she recently opened up a lemonade stand to help raise money to support the garden.

Avery, pictured above, opened up shop over the weekend to offer some ice-cold lemonade to her neighbors, who helped support the student garden with their purchases. All in all, Avery raised $50 over the weekend, and also offered her patrons some flowers and herbs from the student garden as an appreciation for their business.

The student garden is intended to give students at Aldrin an avenue through which to interact with nature in a controlled, educational setting.
