'An Amazing Teacher' | Reston/Herndon Father's Day Photos

Some Reston and Herndon locals are helping us celebrate Father's Day 2018 with their own photos and tributes to the dads in their lives.

RESTON/HERNDON, VA -- We asked you to send in your photos to help us send in Father's Day, and you delivered. We received multiple submissions from Herndon and Reston residents who wanted to celebrate the dads in their lives.

Check out the above photo of a special moment on the back deck for a family in Reston, taken just a couple of days ago.

"This photo is of my husband Jack and daughter Ella (4 1/2 years old) and was taken on 6/12/18 in Reston, Virginia at our home on the back deck," writes Maureen. "Jack is the most fun playmate a kid could have, and is an amazing teacher! Every night before bed he plays music and she dances around and sings. From the day our daughter was born their love and happiness is evident with every glance they give each other. I wish him a very Happy Fathers Day!"

Here's a couple of Herndon locals on a safari. The pic was taken "during my spring visit to South Africa," writes Ruth. "I snapped this pix of my nephew and his daughter watching cheetahs eating dinner at the Buffelsfontain wildlife preserve (Capetown, South Africa)."

And check out this lookalike duo from Reston: Brendan and Aidan O'Connell. This picture was taken while the two were on vacation in the Outer Banks back in 2002.

This father-son duo enjoys some time relaxing on the couch -- and looking remarkably similar while doing it.

"Here is my husband, Justin and my stepson, Jaxon," Alina writes. "Same haircut, same pose, Jaxon is definitely his mini me! This pic was taken in March of 2018."

And here's another picture of the pair -- both shown when they were 3 years old.

Don't forget to make your father feel special this upcoming Father's Day. And if you're a father, treat yourself on Sunday. You've earned it.
