RESTON, VA — Reston's Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse has been recognized by Wine Spectator for its wine program, earning the publication's 2026 Award of Excellence.
The annual Restaurant Awards recognize restaurants around the world for the quality of their wine programs. According to Wine Spectator, 4,012 restaurants received awards in 2026.
Davio's, located at Reston Station, received the Award of Excellence, which recognizes restaurants whose wine lists include at least 75 selections and feature a well-curated assortment of quality producers that complement the menu in both style and price.
"The restaurant industry is rapidly transforming as diners become more selective about when, how and what they drink. As wine drinkers grow more mindful, restaurants are adapting with creative wine programs," Marvin R. Shanken, chairman and CEO of Wine Spectator, said in a statement. Steve DiFillippo, founder of Davio's, said the recognition reflects the restaurant's commitment to pairing its wine offerings with its Northern Italian menu.

Launched in 1981, Wine Spectator's Restaurant Awards recognize restaurants for excellence in wine service and selection. The Award of Excellence is one of three award levels presented by the publication.
Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse specializes in regional Italian cuisine, serving prime-aged steaks, seafood, handmade pasta and other Italian-inspired dishes.
The winners are featured in Wine Spectator's annual Restaurant Awards issue, which is now available on newsstands.
