• EYA, Armed Forces Mutual Secure Entitlement for MF Project at Historic Reston Site (connectcre.com) — A major change is coming to 1850 Old Reston Avenue, where EYA and Armed Forces Mutual have secured approvals to turn the underused office campus into 57 townhomes around the historic Bowman House. The project, steps from the W&OD Trail and Reston Town Center, will include seven affordable units, rooftop-terrace floor plans, and adaptive reuse of Bowman House, with groundbreaking expected in spring 2027.
   

• Car Tax Payments Due Oct. 5 – What You Need to Know (fairfaxcounty.gov) — Fairfax County personal property (car) taxes are due Thursday, Oct. 5, and Reston residents can drop check payments at the Reston Regional library book drop from Sept. 19 to Oct. 5. You can also pay online by free e-check, by phone, mail, or in person at the Government Center, with limited tax relief available for 2023 and special programs for seniors and people with disabilities.
